Practice Areas
Special Education
We guide clients through every step of securing appropriate educational services, accommodations, and modifications for students with disabilities—including learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, cognitive and executive functioning deficits, speech or language impairments, psychological or behavioral issues, and medical conditions—to ensure a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
Our work includes obtaining Section 504 Plans or Individual Education Programs (IEPs) that contain appropriate goals and objectives, academic, social emotional and behavioral supports, and in-district or out of district placements. We also handle disciplinary matters and transition and placement matters. We also represent students and young adults with disabilities in related criminal or constitutional rights cases, pursuing remedies such as compensatory education, damages, reimbursements, and attorneys’ fees.
